I hope this letter is reaching you and your family as it’s leaving me - in good health & good spirits! There are some changes happening within Hartstein Photography & it’s important to me that you are among the first to know about them.

I have been so blessed to photograph miracle after miracle entering this world - whether in the birthing room or throughout their first year. Believe me, I know you have so many options when it comes to photographers in our area, and you may never know how much it means to me that you’ve trusted me with your memories.

The big news is - I’m expecting baby Hartstein #3! The big day will happen in the beginning of March. It’s a bit unexpected for us, but we’re pretty excited about it. Caroline has no idea what's coming, and Abi has baby fever already. I wish I recorded her reaction to the news. It involved a lot of shrieking and “Seriously??” I couldn't have asked for a better response!

So what does this mean for Hartstein Photography? I’ve been doing some soul searching about that very question. I’ve come to the conclusion that I am going to take a hiatus from Hartstein Photography for a few years.

Being a one woman business, you can probably imagine better than anyone the challenges I’m faced with with little children in our home. I don't want to wish these years away, but rather relish and cherish them. I also want to be able to provide the best photography and service that I’m capable of, and I believe I’m falling behind. In the end, this is merely a season in life and it won’t last for long. Before you know it, our kids will all be in elementary school and I’ll be back in hospitals, in homes & maybe even my own studio!

The hiatus has officially begun, and wrapping up my current commitments is underway.

I am so fortunate to serve several families who have invited me into the labor room more than once. I’ve already received questions about " the next baby ".   Should you find yourself expecting another miracle and you’d like me to photograph the birth, I encourage you to reach out to me and let’s see what we can do!

Once my kids are in elementary school, I’ll be planning my return from hiatus! I’m not entirely sure what it will look like yet, but I’m excited for the possibilities. You'll be among the first to know what they are and when they start to become a reality!

Many of you have been my biggest cheerleaders. Thank you. I can't thank you enough for the love and support you've shown over the years. Thank you for valuing what I do and for choosing me to preserve some of life’s most precious moments.

I hope that I get the chance to serve you again!!

I'll be thinking of you as each birthday passes, for sure!

Lots of love,

Andrea Hartstein
